The SAP World Tour in Dubai
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, April 05 - 2006 at 15:15
- PRESS RELEASE
The SAP World Tour opened its doors in Dubai today, to over 400 SAP customers, prospects, partners and media.
Commenting on the company's growth strategy Sergio Maccotta, Managing Director of SAP Middle East said, "SAP's organic growth strategy places us ahead of our competition because we can spend R&D on innovation rather than integration of product sets. We offer customers the best opportunity for sustainable growth in revenue and market share. The theme of this World Tour is that SAP's Enterprise Service Architecture will become the universal language for businesses in the global economy. SAP's rich heritage in understanding industry-specific business processes gives us a unique advantage over our competitors."
Being ranked Number One in the region as per the latest IDC report and with a head start in 2006; by already closing 12 new deals and 3 client win-backs from the closest competitor the company promises to deliver an even bigger success story this year in the Middle East.
Commenting on the approach Phil Blower, Sales Director at SAP Arabia said: "We are increasing our revenue opportunity by expanding our target market. He further added: "For most of SAP's 30 year history, we have focused on automating business transactions that were previously concluded manually. A key focus for us going forward will be expanding our reach within our customer base to knowledge workers - people who analyse information to either make or recommend business decisions."
At the event, SAP senior management and experts exhibited solutions that were "made to measure", and discussed initiatives that SAP launched to help companies grow and adapt in a rapidly evolving market. SAP has pioneered the implementation of Enterprise Services Architecture (ESA) with its Netweaver comprehensive integration and application platform that enables users to work with their existing IT infrastructure to implement and manage change.
The SAP World Tour 2006 is set to travel to 37 countries. Starting from Riyadh on 4th April, 2006, the World Tour finished its Middle East leg by today's successful event in Dubai.
