  • UK: Saturday, April 08 - 2006 at 07:48

BAE Systems is in talks to sell its 20% stake in European aircraft manufacturer Airbus, reported Reuters. The group has an option to sell its interest to 80% owner EADS. The stake is worth $5.3-8bn, and analysts expect BAE to reinvest the cash into its defence business where margins are higher than in the cyclical civil aviation market.
