Ibrahim Yaqoub appointed Director of DM Contracts and Purchasing Dept

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and Chairman of Dubai Municipality, has issued a decree transferring Eng. Ibrahim Yaqoub from his current post and appointing him as Director of the Contracts and Purchasing Department at Dubai Municipality with effect from 2 April 2006.

Yaqoub was also given a promotion with immediate effect to the first grade of the first category in accordance with the Personnel Affairs System of Dubai Emirate.

Yaqoub obtained a Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering from Portland University, USA before getting an Executive Masters' in Business Administration from Zayed University.
Yaqoub started his career as an engineer in the Abu Dhabi branch of Etisalat and went on to become Head of Engineers (Correspondence and Breakup).

Yaqoub joined the Municipality in 1997 as Head of the Development and Follow Up Office of Environment and Public Health Affairs. Later he became the Assistant Director and Acting Director of Contracts and Purchasing Department before becoming the Director.
