Microsoft sponsors FutureIT 2006

The announcement came at a specially-organized signing ceremony held at the Microsoft office located at the Almoayyed Tower in Seef District, Kingdom of Bahrain. The sponsorship agreement for FutureIT 2006 was signed by Sherif Bayoumi, Country Manager of Microsoft-Bahrain, and Adel Abdulla, Senior Events Manager of Creative Knowledge. It was witnessed by Ahmed Al Hujairy, Chairman of Bahrain Internet Society and Abdulla Al Hamid, Vice Chairman of Bahrain Internet Society.

Another agreement was also signed with Microsoft having the exclusive Registration Desk Sponsorship for the event.

During the signing, Adel Abdulla said 'the announcement of Microsoft sponsorship represents a significant reassurance the FutureIT Conference and Exhibition brings enormous value to the business community in the region'.

Sherif Bayoumi added, 'As an integral part of the ICT community in Bahrain, Microsoft is committed to its growth and development in the Kingdom and we are proud to have been involved with the FutureIT since its inception in 2003. Our sponsorship and participation will give visitors the opportunity to view the up to date technologies from across the region'.

Ahmed Al Hujairy said 'We are pleased to announce that Microsoft has once again decided to sponsor FutureIT 2006 wherein one of the main objectives of this yearly event is to promote new of technology and applications in major enterprises'.
