DM officials to get new HR management tips

Dubai Municipality is organizing a special training course on human resource management for its managerial staff this week as part of the ongoing internal training programme of the civic body for the year 2006.

Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zarouni, Acting Head of Human Resources Development Section in the Personnel Department said the course, "Modern Human Resources Management," would be organized from 8am to 2pm during 8-9 April at Al Safa Public Library. This course will be attended by a group of heads of Sections and Units.

He said the participants will be familiarized with the modern trends, concepts and skills in human resources management with a focus on total quality management. They will also be trained in solving disputes among their subordinates and enhancing the overall work atmosphere.

In order to enhance the performance of customer services staff the Municipality will give special training to them during the week, said Al Zarouni. The course called, "Comprehensive Skills in Customer Service," will be conducted in two sessions at the Dubai Municipality Staff Club. During 8-9 April, it will be held from 5-8pm and during 10-12 the course will be held from 9am to 2pm.

He said the course is aimed at enhancing the behavioural skills essential for the employees to deal with the customers in a more effective way and also to offer excellent services to them. It will enable them to undertake the transactions, especially regarding complaints and problems, more fluently.
