"As a responsible environmental steward, we continually strive, together with our partners, like EEG to minimize our impact on the planet at every step along our value chain. We are committed to protecting and preserving the environment and are proud to be founding members of the Emirates Environmental Group and to part of their continuous efforts to enhance our local environment,"
said Lubna Forzley, Public Affairs and Communications Manager, Coca-Cola Middle East.
On the occasion, Forzley added "We would like to take the opportunity to commend the EEG on their on-going achievements and to renew our commitment to supporting the group's future environmental activities."
The Emirates Environmental Group is a voluntary, non-government organization (NGO) devoted towards protecting the local environment through the means of education, action programs and community involvement. Founded in September 1991, it has since grown considerably with members. With the support of the Department of Economic Development (Government of Dubai), Dubai Municipality and other concerned local and federal government agencies, the EEG became the first environmental NGO in the world to be accredited with the ISO 14001 certification for its environment management system.
