Leading jewellers flock to MidEast Watch and Jewellery show

The Middle East's most popular and widely visited jewellery event, the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show, is all set for a grand opening on April 10, 2006.
Among prominent overseas jewellers who are taking part in the event for the first time are Artisan Aterlier, Forever Jewels, Maruta, Kim Keat, Soo Kee, and Tian Pon Jewellery from Singapore, China-based Marveli and Zhuji City Yijiahong Import and Export Company, India-based M.L. Jewels, Dhruv Star, Surana Enterprises, Shreela Diamonds, and Truthfine Jewellers, Italian jeweler Issimo, Thailand's Gems Beam, and A.H. M, Faux Bijoux, Gulian designs, HB jewels, Magistrial Swiss, Malek Jewels, and Saoud Jewellery from Lebanon.
First time participants from within the UAE include Abida Jewellery, Gem Mart, L. Sunderdas Zaveri, Modern Life Watches, Rosa Gems and Profit Gems.
A major highlight of the coming MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show will be the 2006 Spring Collection that will be on display. Visitors to the exhibition will be treated to a vast collection of exquisitely crafted classic and contemporary jewellery from across the world including Bahrain, Hong Kong, China, India, Italy, Jordan, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, and the UAE.
Besides new jewellers, the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show will feature a large number of regular exhibitors who have been utilizing the event year after year as a platform for reaching out to the region's jewellery connoisseurs. In fact, the MidEast Watch and Jewellery show has an exhibitor retention rate of over 95 per cent.
Damas Jewellery, Salem Al Shuebi, Shattaf Jewellery, and Dhamani Jewllery from the UAE, Najd Deer Jewellery from Saudi Arabia, Al Zain Jewellery from Bahrain, Hanna Jewellery, Harmen Jewellery, Azar Jewellery, and VHP Jewellery from Lebanon, Mahmeed Jeweller from Kuwait, Su-Raj Intergold from Thailand, Zeb by Medart, and A-Sentez from Turkey, Taka Jewellery from Singapore, and Lazo Diamonds from Malaysia are some of the major exhibitors who like in the previous editions will showcase spell-binding jewellery catering to different tastes and budgets.
A major crowd puller at the event this year will be the national pavilions from India, Italy, Singapore, and Hong Kong. It is for the first time that Singapore and Hong Kong based jewellers will have such large-scale participation in the Middle East region. The Hong Kong Jewellery Manufacturer's Association will be utilizing the show to display the collection that it had recently exhibited in the Basel show.
The coming edition, while continuing with its conventional focus on contemporary gold and diamond jewellery, will display fashion jewellery, precious stones, pearl sets, crystals, watches, timepieces, jewellery displays, and different kinds of tools used in the trade.
The MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show is a five-day bi-annual event held under the patronage of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. It is organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
