$69 record high for Brent crude

Brent crude came within a few cents of $69 yesterday, its highest price in history, beating the high of August 30 last year. But US light crude stood up $1.36 at $68.90, just shy of its former August high of $70.95. Traders said talk of a potential military conflict between the US and Iran was to blame.
