This institute aims to offer high-quality vocational education to students, in an attempt to cater to the growing business need for creative, skilled junior-level employees in the UAE.

With the first batch to be enrolled in September 2006, NIVE will provide students with hands-on, intensive education in various disciplines, including Information Technology, Finance and Accounting, Sales and Marketing, Public Relations and Human Resources. With a keen focus on providing highly specialized and vocation-oriented training, the programs will be two years in duration. Moreover, NIVE will work closely with reputed international institutions to meet global standards of education within the UAE. Adding credibility to the institution, NIVE will possess international accreditation through meeting stringent quality requirements in every aspect of providing vocational training.

On this innovative step by the council, Ahmad Bin Byat, Chairman of Dubai Education Council said,

"I am delighted to announce the initiation of a truly unique academic venture, NIVE. With a top-down approach, we aim to provide education with the perspective of enhancing the employability of each student at NIVE, while enhancing and fostering economic development in the country. Through rigorous hands-on training and vocational experience, we will arm our learners with practical knowledge and vocational skills. Through our future partnerships with local and international businesses we will surely add on to the employability and training quality of our students."

In his capacity as Secretary General of Dubai Education Council Dr. Abdulla Al Karam said "NIVE aims to cover the gap of vocational education and definitely, with international recognition and accreditation which will provide our ambitious students with the chance to continue their education."

"Students no longer need to look abroad for quality vocational education and international training standards; they will have all of this in the UAE. NIVE will be a comprehensive academic solution for national and expatriate students, providing a regular source of skilled junior employees for companies," added Dr. Al Karam.
