The Advertising and Marketing Communications Conference kicks off end of May

The International Advertising Association - Jordan Chapter (IAA Jordan), has announced May 29th, 30th as the dates for the Second Annual Advertising and Marketing Communications Conference 'Outside the Box'.

The Conference, which will host a number of international speakers, is expected to witness wide participation from industry professionals in Jordan as well as neighboring countries.

'Outside the Box' aims at introducing participants to all that is new in the advertising and marketing communications industry, serving as an efficient platform for the professionals of this business to exchange the latest information, expertise and ideas.

IAA Jordan President and IAA Global Vice President of Communications and Public Relations Sharif Abukhadra said: 'Organizing the Advertising and Marketing Communications Conference for the second time comes as a result of the success achieved in last year's Conference. We also see in this event an important challenge that drives us to further excel and realize better results, helping to improve the local marketing communications industry as well as coping with the changes introduced by the global information and communications revolution.'

He also added that the Conference comes as a direct outcome of the significant growth of the advertising and marketing communications industry, saying that the industry contributes effectively to the development of the national economy.

Distinguished international experts are lined up for this year's Conference to give lectures on various topics such as branding, public relations, direct marketing, online marketing, marketing research and many other related subjects.

To create the proper awareness of the upcoming Conference, IAA Jordan launched a media campaign in line with 'Outside the Box'. The campaign incorporates famous people who have broken boundaries and revolutionized today's world with their 'Outside the Box' thinking. The campaign, which called these celebrities 'box breakers', includes German scientist Albert Einstein, Lebanese philosopher and writer Gibran Khalil Gibran, Spanish painter Pablo Picasso, and others.

The IAA Jordan conference is of importance to advertisers, advertising agencies, as well as public relations, and marketing companies. In addition the conference will be relevant to creative designers, media owners, production companies, researches, consultants, indoor/ outdoor display media, audio visual, print media, sales promotion companies, as well to university students and professors of relevant fields. The target audience for the Conference will primarily focus on the local market. Participants from neighboring countries are also expected to attend.

Abukhadra concluded.

It is worth mentioning that IAA Jordan won the Chapter Excellence Award at the 40th International Advertising Association (IAA) World Congress, which was held in Dubai from March 20th -23rd, for excelling in the development of the Jordan Chapter and as a result of its overall contributions and achievements for the past two years.
