EMP announces strategy to extend quality integrated marketing solutions to UAE's business landscape

Emirates Marketing and Promotions (EMP), the recently launched subsidiary of Emirates Post providing state of the art direct marketing, call centre and promotions services, today announced plans to expand its services further into the marketing field.

Uniquely positioned to extend truly integrated marketing solutions, given its ownership of a 2.8 million strong database for e-mail, mail and telemarketing services and 350,000 post office boxes through 75 Emirates Post outlets for direct marketing, the company will work to integrate more marketing services into its current product mix.

"Due to the extensive resources available to us through Emirates Post, the relationships established with other government organizations and strong market demand, EMP will become the only company capable of providing truly integrated marketing solutions to its clients in the UAE," said Mr. Ahmad Tahlak, Chief Executive Officer of EMP.

"We are in the process of integrating more services such as public relations, advertising, design, outdoor and media buying services into our portfolio to provide our existing clients with depth and scope to their campaigns."


In the meantime, EMP is progressing with initial plans to solidify and expand on its existing direct marketing and sales promotions services. EMP's adoption of global best practices and adherence to high quality standards by creating direct communication channels between businesses and consumers has proven to be a winning formula for the company.

With over fifteen years of industry experience, Tahlak brings to EMP extensive experience and expertise in the telemarketing arena. This combined with his entrepreneurial spirit, which was honored in 2004 by his winning two prestigious awards from the annual 'Mohammed bin Rashid Awards for Small and Medium Sized Enterprise' those being: 'Best Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Male)' and the 'Best Consulting & Professional Business Award,' The awards were handed to Tahlak by H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

EMP's state of the art 65 seat call centre assists organizations in managing customer care and sales drives for the benefit of companies that do not wish to invest in setting up their own call centre operations. The call centre offers a vast range of incoming and out going telemarketing, telesales, customer service, helpdesk and hotline services in a 24 hour, seven days a week, multi language environment.

Mohammed Kamal, Assistant CEO Operations and Services Manager sees untapped potential in business to business (B2B) segment, especially for industry specific value added services. "Surveys have shown that industry specific direct marketing packages are in demand in the market. Utilizing our B2B database, customized based on demographic profile and targeted to specific consumer profiles, EMP can easily provide clients with measurable, pre-packaged products combining call centre operations, promotional and sales offerings that deliver results. The target group profile can be customized within 48 hours."

For B2B, the list can be tailored on the basis of industry activity, number of employees and targeted Emirate. For the B2C segment, EMP provides addresses categorized by area, profession, nationality, age, gender, income, education, marital status and religion. The data is maintained, updated and enhanced by a Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence team. Data validation is carried out on a daily basis.

EMP also provides another innovative direct marketing tool - the Promotional Postmark. Though this tool, a company's message is stamped on bulk mail, taking it to over 500,000 people every day in the UAE and globally.

EMP's promotions division is designed to promote businesses by providing high quality value added services and products. The company has been successfully running Postcard Millionaire, one of the biggest and most successful promotions in the region. EMP is scheduled to launch a similar promotion in Qatar shortly.
