GETEX Dubai 2006 will take place from April 12 to 14, 2006 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. Besides fulfilling its traditional role of providing a platform for student recruitment in higher education, the event will also host two separate segments on Education Technology, Equipment, Services and Supply and on Corporate Training and Human Resource Development.
Kumar added:
'We will promote the MAXg product family as our core solution at GETEX Dubai 2006. We hope to generate awareness of the many advantages of wireless connectivity and the mobility it brings to the learning environment. This concept needs to be promoted from the early stages of school, given its importance in achieving better broadband Internet connectivity, and its role in linking homes to virtual classrooms, libraries, campus networks, Internet labs and in delivering e-learning courses.'
'The education sector is being accorded top priority by governments in the GCC states and the Middle East, as a means of building a reservoir of competent leaders and skilled personnel who will guide and sustain the region's current pace of development. As a result, both the government and private sectors are directing huge technological inputs towards improving educational content and delivery systems and in upgrading infrastructure. USRobotics is a world leader in broadband connectivity reputed for its advanced networking products and solutions, and we are happy to host the company at Gulf Education and Training Equipment and Technology, enhancing thus the portfolio of advanced technology and didactic solutions showcased for the region's forward thinking educators and trainers,' said Sunita Quadros, Project Manager, Technology, Equipment, Services and Supply Segment, GETEX Dubai 2006.
USRobotics' Wireless MAXg suite of products incorporates advanced digital signal processing techniques that allow for significantly better reception sensitivity, offering 50 per cent more range and higher performance of 125Mbps as compared to 54 mbps for standard 802.11g. This allows for maintaining longer connections at higher speeds, thus resulting in greater throughput and overall transfer of data across greater ranges.
USR technology also ensures restricted, secured access that limits network susceptibility to hacker attacks and allows for better security by adding features such as advanced encryption mechanisms, updated code sets and supports WMM quality of service for video and voice. MAXg technology is cost-effective as it can be easily upgraded and scaled to adapt to new devices and is easy to configure, deploy and manage. It is also standards-compliant and certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance, so that users benefit from additional range in any wireless network-even where other devices do not use MAXg technology.
The company will exhibit its various wireless solutions and products such as switches, routers, access points, antennas, bridges and firewalls, and try to secure projects from institutions planning to build or upgrade wireless LAN and WAN to support their learning programmes and school management systems. Wireless LAN projects using USR technology have already been executed at the Dubai American Academy School and at the American University of Dubai.
