BSI audits Batelco's activities for ISO 9001:2000 continuing assessment

The globally recognised quality assurance body, the British Standards Institute (BSI), was recently on a week-long continuing assessment visit to Batelco as part of the ISO9001:2000 certification requirement.

The auditing exercise is intended to improve effectiveness of the company's Quality Management System to help it meet customers' requirements and enhance operation efficiency.

"The BSI closely audited a number of departments and specific functions ranging from Product Management, Account Management, Service Management Unit, Core Network, Stores, Recruitment, Training, Procurement, VOC, to Customer Complaints & Billing," explains Batelco Head of Corporate Affairs, Ahmed Al Janahi.

"We are proud of the fact that that all operations already have ISO 9001-2000 certification."

Obtaining this certification provides Batelco with international recognition that they meet the highest global standards.

"The Company's management thanks all Batelco staff for their effort and full cooperation throughout the exercise. It certainly took an enormous amount of dedication and commitment on top of an already heavy workload and Batelco appreciates the efforts of all employees in this task."
