$604 an ounce for gold

Gold prices touched $604 an ounce yesterday as the yellow metal breached the $600 barrier for the first time since 1980. Analysts told Reuters that there was a lot of buying by funds investing in commodities with the oil price surging and the US dollar under pressure.
