Following his announcement of Sama Dubai's sponsorship of the Qatar economic forum - due to be held in Doha between the 17th and 18th of April 2006- Faraidooni stressed how advanced the region has become in acknowledging and understanding the importance of preparing for the challenges of the upcoming period. He also highlighted how the forum should provide the perfect opportunity to identify these challenges and the best strategies to handle them.
'The substantial and comprehensive growth that this region is witnessing coincides with the Arab world - specifically GCC countries - entering a new era of growth and development.' said Faraidooni. 'This era is characterised by new opportunities and challenges that have not been faced before, hence the importance of consolidating all efforts and working together to strengthen the developmental path in the region and to provide these nations with greater prosperity and stability.'
'We at Sama Dubai are happy to participate and sponsor the Qatar Economic Forum, an event that will be instrumental in identifying key issues in the region. We hope that this forum becomes a regular platform to fortify regional development through its different panels, speakers and participants,' Faraidooni added.
The Qatar Economic Forum will tackle a number of key local and regional issues such as the vision of Qatar's economic future, heavy industry and the investment environment and incentives in Qatar and other Arab countries. Other regional issues include, Qatar and GCC banking sectors and financial markets and public sector investments.
