Dubai American Academy hosts Technology Exhibition

As part of their on-going efforts to introduce students to the latest developments in the information and technology sector, the Dubai American Academy (DAA) - a GEMS School, today hosted "Tech Connections", an IT exhibition displaying the technological integration implemented by students in the classroom.

200 students from Dubai American Academy displayed their work at the exhibition. Leading companies such as Edutech, Microsoft, Enigmatis and Almoe sponsored the event. The exhibition comes in line with 'GEMS Education' core values of Forward Thinking and Leadership Qualities, which are part of the overall education programme at GEMS schools.

Amy Smith, Instructional Technology Director at the Dubai American Academy (DAA), said: "It was fantastic to see our students' efforts come to life through this exhibition. We focus on offering students an insight into an industry that is increasingly driving the world's economy. This exhibition would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, parents and all the attendees."

The exhibition demonstrated innovative work from students of Elementary School, Middle School and High School at the DAA. Creations were presented under several categories, including Digital Photo Corrections, Digital Animation, Web Design, Digital Storytelling, Robotics, Photoshop, Promethian, Video editing and many more.

"It has been a truly educating and learning experience for DAA students. It was imperative for the students' to illustrate to their parents the concepts they are learning at school," concluded Smith.
