The re-branding has been carried out in full by its newly strengthened in-house marketing team. In conjunction with the launch of the new identity, Better Homes hosted the inaugural Better Homes Cup at the Dubai Kartdrome, a go-karting competition for the staff that it hopes to turn into annual event.

The new brighter logo was designed to be a truer reflection of the international, multi-property service the company has now become. Last year, the company sold three times as many properties as it did in 2004 and developed many of its services such as residential and commercial property, property management, short-term rentals, project sales and marketing, maintenance, and interior design.

The new logo is accompanied by a corporate tagline 'because no one understands property better' which underlines the company's expertise in the market with 20 years' experience and it being the only real estate agency in the region to train and certify all its staff.

A memorable advertising slogan 'Better Call, Better Homes' designed as a call to action for consumers has also been added to all company advertising. A new creative 'concept' advertising campaign, produced in-house, will follow later this year.

The company's re-branding was lead by Better Homes' Director of Marketing, Trevor Evans, who said: "It's all to do with the customer understanding what we're about; the old logo, the sketch of the house, gave people the misleading impression that we dealt solely with residential property.

'The reality is that today Better Homes has grown into an international corporation offering a great range of services with us employing more than twice as many property consultants as our nearest competitor. We needed a more corporate brand identity that worked across the company, from residential property to commercial property, from property management to publishing. The new logo is a lot brighter and fresher. I think people find it more identifiable."

Evans also stated that since employing the new colors and design, the Better Homes website has registered more number of hits and the brand has also been seen as a player in the commercial property market rather than just the private property sector.

One of the most striking manifestations of the new identity is the painting of all Better Homes consultants' VW Golf cars in the distinctive blue and magenta livery with eye-catching designs like zebra stripes and Scottish plaids.

"We selected a range of vibrant designs that would effectively symbolize our multi-cultural audience as well as our multi-lingual staff who cater to them," said Evans.

Commenting on the re-branding Better Homes' Managing Director, Ryan Mahoney, added: "These are exciting times for us; we've introduced many new services in recent years and we've worked very hard behind the scenes on things such as quality assurance, staff training, HR initiatives and getting the best from the most advanced technology. All together, we've built a solid infrastructure and, for me, this new look is the icing on the cake."
