Juvenile obesity in UAE

A recent study has shown that 17% of UAE children aged between six and 16 are overweight. Obesity has serious and dramatic implications for a healthcare system having to manage an increase in related diseases such as heart disease, hypertension and diabetes. The Al Noor Hospital will be hosting its first International Conference on Problems of Obesity in Medical Practice at the Sheraton Hotel, Abu Dhabi from April 18-20.
