A winning cargo airline must have flexibility and superior attention to service, said decision-makers from Germany's cargo industry when they recently voted Emirates SkyCargo as the top carrier on the German market.

Emirates SkyCargo took first place in the survey which pitted it against other leading industry cargo carriers.

The Aircargo Performance Study, conducted by German market research institute Emnid, surveyed 240 German air cargo forwarders on 55 leading international cargo airlines operating in Germany. Forwarders were asked to answer questions concerning airline quality, customer orientation and price-performance ratio. Emirates SkyCargo attained 777 points out of 1000 and an outstanding market reputation score of 99 percent, making it top choice for Best Overall Air Cargo Carrier and Best in Overall Service Quality.

The results of the survey were published in early April by Logistik Inside, the leading trade publication for the logistics industry in Germany. The results were further highlighted in one of the country's largest daily newspapers, Die Welt.

Ram Menen, Emirates Divisional Senior Vice President Cargo said:

"The true honour of this distinction is that we have been named number one from our most important stakeholders- our discerning customers. Since commencement of operations 20 years ago, Emirates SkyCargo has been committed to delivering service excellence."

Our ability to provide the flexibility so highly prized by our customers is a result of our quick response times, versatility, a dynamic young fleet and a team of highly motivated people."

Emirates SkyCargo has over three percent market share in Germany. Improvements in IT will be further enhanced with a cutover to new generation SkyChain infrastructure. These improvements, together with exponential growth in its fleet, will make the airline well-positioned to accommodate increases in transport volume which, globally, are predicted to triple over current levels in the next two decades. In Germany, that growth is anticipated at a rate of thirteen percent annually.
