The Seventh Omani Song Festival will take place from April 23 to 25 at Al Bustan Palace Hotel. The festival is conducted by Oman's Ministry of Heritage and Culture as per the directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

"Gulf Air is proud to back this festival which will showcase Oman's unique heritage and culture through music, song and poetry," says Gulf Air Vice President Sales and Marketing Danny Barranger.

The festival this year coincides with Muscat being named as the "Capital of the Arab Culture."

Singers will compete live on state-run television and in front of an audience during the festival. The objective of the festival is to motivate Omani musicians, singers, and upcoming stars by encouraging healthy competition to help spread awareness for the Omani song in the region and outside.
