To be held at the grounds of the Club within Emaar's world class Arabian Ranches development, the event will see international and professional players gather from across the globe to take part in a polo tournament and showjumping competition designed to officially inaugurate the world class equestrian facilities. The four days will culminate with a fashion show and gala dinner, hosting VIP's and dignities from the equestrian world.

"The official launch of the Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club sees Emaar delivering yet more world-class leisure facilities to a discerning local market. Emaar has built on the Middle East's great equestrian tradition with this remarkable Club which is luxurious in design and unmatched in facilities. Appealing to young and old and people of all abilities, Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club is a great addition to Dubai's sporting and leisure facilities,"

said Christo Diamandopoulos, Director of Leisure, Emaar Properties.

Emaar's Dubai Polo & Equestrian club is a full-service equestrian centre themed around Andalusian style architecture. Add to that a Spanish style clubhouse replete with lounges and dining areas, riding gear and tack shop, spa and a swimming pool.

Members of the club can also watch a polo match on one of two polo fields, test their polo skills on the practice field, or take riding lessons. There's something for every skill level, including showjumping and dressage for advanced riders.

"This launch follows a series of successful events held at the Club last year. Already a popular addition to the world class leisure facilities on offer at Arabian Ranches, the riding school is already over subscribed and the polo academy well established. The Club plays a significant part in Emaar's mission to promote Dubai as a leading lifestyle destination," commented Eddie Kennedy, General Manager for Emaar's Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club.
