IAU - Dubai campus to offer Masters Programmes in 2006-2007 academic year

The announcement was made at the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX), 2006 held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from 12 - 14 April, 2006.

The new programmes to be offered include Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Engineering and Master of IT Management.

"We are delighted to announce that we will be offering new Masters programmes at our Dubai campus,"

said Mohammed Ali Shafiee, Executive & Project Director of IAU Dubai campus. "Since our establishment, our bachelors courses have attracted several students and we want to widen our offerings for students in the UAE and GCC region," he added.

With 330 campuses in Iran and three international campuses in London, Beirut and Zanzibar, other than Dubai, IAU is one of the leading Iranian universities. IAE has so far produced 1.8 million graduates since its establishment in 1982 and counts itself as the largest university in the Middle East. More than 1.2 million students are studying today in IAU's campuses in Iran and around the world. IAU is associated with major educational associations such as the International Association of Universities (IAU), International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) and the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW).

IAU was licensed to set-up its Dubai Campus in July 2003 and currently has more than 300 students enrolled. Classes are offered in the state-of-the-art spacious classrooms using the latest technologies for research and development.

The announcement follows the success if the graduate degree courses of the IAU Dubai Campus. Currently, the institution offers Bachelor degrees in Business Management, Computer Engineering Software, Architecture and an Associate Diploma in Computer Engineering. The University also plans to offer a number of short term courses in Management, IT and the English Language. It already offers short-term courses in applications like Microsoft dot.net and 3D Max, which have proved extremely popular.
IAU Dubai campus is also the only centre in Dubai for the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). For more information, please log on to
