Philips brings FIFA Vidiwall to Dubai

The newest product range introduced by Philips Vidiwall goes by the name of Candeo. These 120" LED-based screens are the latest in Philips displays.

Philips plans to have two 120 inch LED Candeo screens with 6 and 10mm pixel pitch.
These are very beautiful and unique video screens. In addition to a video banner (small version of pitch side LED video advertisement boards).

The FIFA has chosen Philips Vidiwall to be the official LED screen supplier for the Fan Fests during the FIFA World Cup™ 2006. For the first time, the World Cup will really be for everyone, thanks to these large-scale events bringing the matches to the fans on giant Philips Vidiwall LED video screens. Both the fans and the video screens will be inside as well as outside the stadiums, making this World Cup the greatest event the world has seen.

Philips Vidiwall will equip these FIFA World Cup 2006™ Fan Fests in the host cities with LED video screens - the same large screen display technology which is also in operation in stadiums such as those in Frankfurt, Cologne and Gelsenkirchen. In this way, all the football fans who could not buy tickets can experience the games on large screen displays together with thousands of other fans in public places - all of this in the licensed football 16:9 - format. Fans will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique blend of sports and culture at these events and it is Philips Vidiwall who is bringing the action to them on giant LED video screens.

Speaking of the Fan Fest project, Franz Beckenbauer, president of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee, said: "Thirty-two years after Germany hosted its first World Cup finals in 1974, football's greatest tournament will this time be held in a unified Germany at the heart of a vastly different Europe.
