PSUT to host Interactive Mobile and Computer Aided Learning Conference IMCL

Aligned with its aims to promote itself as an ICT Centre of Excellence, the Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) is to host the Interactive Mobile Computer Aided Learning Conference (IMCL).
The conference promises to provide a forum for education and knowledge transfer, and its packed agenda will bring with it a good opportunity for attending educators to both develop new skills and to debate pressing issues relevant to the ICT field. On another level, attendees will also gain hands on experience in dealing with the latest state of the art portable devices and applications including laptops, palmtops, mobile telephone, PDA, smartphones, WAP applications, and GPS alongside navigational systems using Bluetooth, WLAN.
At a press conference held two days prior to the event's official launch President of PSUT and General Conference Chair Professor Hisham Ghassib said," We at PSUT are very proud to host an event of such great magnitude
as is the IMCL, for this conference comes inline with our beliefs in the importance of mobile learning and the importance of its promotion in the Middle East. This conference will, without a doubt, expose our students and our educators to the latest ICT Technologies available around the world. By hosting this event I hope we will be able to solidify our pioneering position within the academic fields of Jordan, and I also hope that through the IMCL we will play an active role in promoting Jordan as the e-capital of the Middle East region at large"
Also present at the press conference held at Professor Ghassib's office, the Dean of Scientific Research at PSUT Professor A.Y. Al-Zoubi added that this event comes as a direct result of the joint efforts of PSUT, the Carinthia Technical Institute, ant the Royal Institute of Technology "The event promises to offer a wealth of information for all parties attending, for it will feature the participation of experts coming from 38 different countries around the globe, and it will also be hosting Mr. Richard Larson from the Learning International Networks Consortium of MIT, M. Natasa Milic-Frayling from the Microsoft Research Department of Cambridge UK, and Director of the Wireless Broadband unit of Motorola, UAE M. Noel Kirkaldy as keynote speakers. With their valuable input and the different experiences of all parties present I am sure that the event will prove to be beneficial for all" he said.
It is important to note that the event will be held at the PSUT campus and that it is to be sponsored by Umniah, JCBank, Microsoft, the Municipality of Greater Amman, Aramex, MEC, Royal Jordanian Airlines, Rubicon and last but not least Motorola.
