Kanaan will oversee all the operations of the 135-room Holiday Inn Kuwait, which is located 200 metres from the seafront and 22km from Kuwait International Airport, and is the perfect base for business or leisure travellers.
"With its vibrant economic growth and plans to double its oil production over the next 15 years, Kuwait is the place for business. As such, the country attracts most of its visitors from other GCC countries, followed by people from the U.S., UK, Europe and the Far East, said Chris Moloney, Chief Operating Officer, InterContinental Hotels Group, Middle East and Africa. "We are delighted to have a general manager with the expertise and knowledge of Kanaan, in charge of the team," added Moloney.
Prior to his time at InterContinental Doha, Kanaan was charged with executive assistant manager at the Intercontinental Phoenicia, Beirut and was later promoted to the role of operations manager, responsible for the pre-opening phase of the InterContinental Residence Suites of the hotel.
While expressing his pleasure on his new appointment, Kanaan said,
"I feel very privileged to join the Holiday Inn group of hotels and will do my best to contribute to the development of the hotel and tourism industry in Kuwait. With the help of my highly efficient team we will provide distinguished services to further enhance the services we offer to our customers and reinforce our leading position in the market."
