Its number one position is confirmed by the newly released March IPSOS-STAT survey on viewership in the Kingdom.
The results showed that more than 28 per cent of viewers sampled chose Al Arabiya as their prime source of news. Compared to February's report, Al Arabiya's lead over its nearest competitor increased by 3 per cent to give the Dubai based channel an 11.98 per cent leadership advantage.
The results also demonstrate Al Arabiya's continued dominance at prime-time viewing hours. At 21.00 hours on an average day Al Arabiya has more than double the viewers of Al Jazeera, its closest competitor.
Four thousand two hundred and four people aged fifteen and above from different regions throughout the Kingdom were directly surveyed for the study.
