AlFardan Automobiles' BMW sales up 44% in first quarter of 2006

Alfardan Automobiles, the exclusive importer of BMW, Rolls-Royce, and MINI cars in Qatar, announced yesterday that it recorded a 44% increase in sales for the first quarter of 2006 compared to first quarter sales in 2005, which also witnessed record sales compared to the year before.

"This record increase follows the 24% increase in 2005 sales. This is, once again, proof that BMW Group cars enjoy a high demand in the Qatari market due to the pleasurable driving experience and the outstanding after sales services we provide to our high class customers. This sales increase is the result of our huge investment in people who are capable of translating Alfardan Automobiles' goal, to provide the ultimate ownership experience, into reality."
said Ahmed Sorour, Senior Vice President at Alfardan Automobiles.

According to Naim Majdalani, Vice President and Manager of Sales, Alfardan Automobiles, BMW's flagship 7 Series was again the brand's best seller, continuing its class leading status of 2005. Next highest seller was the BMW 5 Series.

"Other models also contributed to the growth in sales for the first quarter of this year and maintained their own market share," Majdalani added.

Alfardan Automobiles' record sales in 2005 and in the first quarter of 2006 are consistent with BMW Group's plans to exceed 1.4 million car sales in 2008.

In addition to record sales, Alfardan Automobiles is also celebrating being awarded "Best Dealership for BMW in the Middle East" for the third consecutive month. The award is given every month to the BMW importer in the region that receives the highest ratings from its customers through the Customer Relations Management system (CRM).

Alfardan Automobiles, which is also celebrating the 10th Anniversary of its partnership with BMW Group, this year, has been extremely successful in positioning BMW as the first choice luxury car for international conferences, government authorities and luxury hotels in Doha.

Because of the comfort, luxury and safety it provides, the BMW 7 series is now the number one choice to transport heads of states and VIPs during their visits to Qatar.

Alfardan Automobiles, that launched its used cars showroom last year, is committed to providing the latest and most distinguished BMW and MINI models to its clients.
