Mitel Networks hosts NGN summit at Higher Colleges of Technology

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister for Higher Education and Scientific Research, a two-day "Next Generation Networks & Emerging Business models '' Conference will be held on April 22-23. The Conference is organised and led jointly by Mitel Networks and Wesley Clover, a cluster of twelve leading IT and NGN companies.

Mohammed Hassan Omran, Chairman and CEO of Etisalat and Sir Terence Matthews, Mitel founder, Chairman & CEO of Wesley Clover are keynote speakers discussing the vision for telecommunication industry and building the Next Generation Networks. ''The symposium will be of great value to all actively involved in the PTT space and the IT wider communities. The event is indicative of the major IT growth we are now witnessing not just in the GCC but the ME region.'' Said Hisham Amili, Mitel GM, GCC.

The Panel Discussion will run under the title of: "Reframing business models in building next generation networks" and will be moderated by Michael Doyle. Panellists will include: Sir Terry Matthews, Simon Gibson CEO Wesley Clover, senior representatives of regional telecomm providers (Etisalat, Signal Corps, Thuraya), du as well as HCT and others.
