At the exhibition, Sun will promote its new 'Galaxy' product range, a state-of-the-art set of rack-mountable, enterprise-class servers. The Galaxy server is set to appeal all kinds of businesses across the GCC with its unparalleled simplicity and versatility
GITEX delegates will also be among the first in the Middle East to see Sun's latest breakthrough technology - Niagara, the world's first high-performance, energy efficient and eco-responsible processor. Research shows that Niagara, also known as the Sun UltraSPARC T1 processor, delivers performance that can eliminate the number of Web servers in the world by half, thereby cutting down power requirements and having the same effect in reducing carbon dioxide emissions as planting one million acres of trees.
Commenting on Sun and Tech Access's participation at GITEX Saudi Arabia 2006, Chris Cornelius, MD Sun Microsystems Middle East said,
"This year, Sun and Tech Access will focus on displaying our comprehensive portfolio of solutions for the region's horizontal and vertical markets. Also on display will be a wide portfolio of StorageTek's information management solutions which offer a flexible, cost-effective approach for growing storage demands in the region.
"GITEX Saudi Arabia enables the in-country expertise of our partners in the Kingdom to shine through," concluded Cornelius.
