DWTC to target young Emirati talent at Careers UAE 2006

Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) will use Careers UAE 2006 as a platform to target Young Emirati talent as part of its drive to select and recruit dedicated leaders of the future and to re-affirm its commitment towards society as a whole and the vision of the rulers of the country.

Taking part in Careers UAE 2006, which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition from April 23 to 25, for the sixth time, the DWTC management hopes to create awareness among young graduates and Emirati professionals looking for a meaningful career, about the myriad opportunities available in all of DWTC's core businesses.

"We have participated in a range of recrutment-related events since the beginning of the year including the Careers Fair 2006, organised by the American University of Sharjah and the Open Day at Dubai Men's College,"
said DWTC Acting General Manager - Human Resources, Director - Business Development, Yousuf Lootah.

"While Careers UAE is the largest and most comprehensive recruitment and training platform in the country and participation in it forms a major part of our ongoing Emiratisation drive, we are planning to take part in a range of similar events through the year, as they play an important role realising the vision of the Government and aids us in sourcing the best from the emerging talent pool ," Lootah added.

The DWTC stand will display and highlight all the opportunities available in the organisation, with dedicated staff being on hand to answer visitors' queries. With CV's and resumes being collected on a daily basis, those interested in exploring careers with the DWTC will also have an opportunitiy to give on-the-spot interviews with DWTC's HR team who will be present through the course of the exhibition.

"Recruitment exhibitions such as Careers UAE are the best platform to meet with qualified graduates and talented nationals who can meet our current requirements. In addition, such exhibitions allow us to identify our future objectives and create strategies to invest in local talent and help them play major roles at DWTC," Lootah explained. "We will also use Careers UAE to further promote the Graduate Management Trainee Scheme and National Leadership Programme, two programmes that we launched recently to effectively identify and train the best qualified local talent," Lootah added.
