Tejari Jordan General Manager Yazan Mohammad Al Hatamleh lauded the partnership with ARAMEX as an advancement of online trading in the Arab World. He said:
"By joining our community ARAMEX has elevated e-procurement to a regional status as the company is considered to be one the leaders in the Middle East. Online trading is no longer restricted to local companies only; it can service regional as well as global corporations."
Al Hatamleh explained that Tejari Jordan's marketing strategy aims at developing the Kingdom's e-market and increasing the number of dealings, buyers and suppliers using the company's services. He noted that a major part of this strategy includes helping Jordanian companies switch from traditional buying and selling to using world-class electronic solutions.
"The dynamic express and logistics sector in Jordan is integral to the Kingdom's development and economic growth. Relying on e-procurement and online trading will help companies play an effective role in advancing growth and economic reform," Al Hatamleh added.
Tejari Jordan's operations in Jordan were launched in March 2003 as the first offspring of Tejari, the mother company which is based in the United Arab Emirates and is considered the first and only successful Arab endeavor into e-commerce. Tejari provides the sourcing, negotiation and transaction environment to more than 3,000 of regional buyers throughout the Middle East and international suppliers to the region.
