The SAP applications comprise the seamless, best-in-class modules that will enable Paris Gallery to boost sales, streamline and optimize its operations and improve customer service. The implementation, set to commence soon, will go live by the end of 2006.

Speaking on the implementation, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Fahim, Vice Chairman of the Board, Al Fahim Enterprises Group, said:

"The new application will be put into place across all the companies in the UAE including Paris Gallery, the flagship brand and part of Al Fahim Enterprises Group of Companies."

He added: "Implementation of SAP in other Al Fahim Group companies outside the UAE will follow later in 2007."

The SAP applications are designed to coordinate across all aspects of the Paris Gallery business, including product development, merchandising, customer relationship management, supply chain and inventory management, store operations as well as financial reporting.

In his comments on the new implementation, Mr. Abdullah Thabit, IT Manager at Al Fahim Enterprises Group, said: "We look forward to the implementation of the SAP applications, which will go a long way in building systems that can support our growing business and operations, in line with our growth, vision and strategic future plans. SAP will be one of the key enablers for us by bringing in international best practices, helping us build competencies which are required for being competitive in this region."

Once completed, the SAP modules will enable Paris Gallery to expand its presence in the regional markets and to manage its brand portfolio to maximize profitability.

Voicing his comments, Mr. Phil Blower, Sales Director at SAP Arabia, said: "SAP will provide Paris Gallery with an end-to-end, open, integrated application that fits its current and future needs. The SAP software will serve as a foundation that supports future opportunities for store openings and regional retail growth of the group."

The initial phase of implementation will include SAP's applications for retail merchandise management, workforce deployment, financials, business warehouse and POS data management.

The implementation at Paris Gallery caps a very impressive growth phase for SAP in the region. Already being ranked the Number One by IDC in MENA (in the latest IDC study covering the MENA software applications market) the company is spearheading the ERP domain in the region.
