Mashreqbank at Careers UAE

As part of its continuous efforts toward greater Emiratisation, Mashreqbank is conducting employment interviews on its stand at the Careers UAE 2006 which opened at the Dubai World Trade Centre today and continues to 25 April.

"Careers UAE is the largest event of its kind and a key platform for recruiting the cream of Emirati talent," said Abdulqadir Salem Al Hamed, National Resourcing & Development Officer, Mashreqbank.

"Our mission is to induct Nationals at all levels within the bank with a primary focus on grooming talented individual for taking on progressively senior positions."


Careers UAE 2006 is expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors this year while exhibitors from the corporate sector have grown to over 40 per cent, the remainder being made up of educational, government and semi government institutions.

Al Hamed said that the bank has a wide variety of different employment options to suit different individual circumstances.

"During the fair we will be conducting private interviews with potential employees. Those interested should bring copies of their CVs and qualification certificates with them," added Al Hamed.

As part of its employment policy Mashreqbank provides extensive training as well as hands-on work experience at the bank's head office and 46 branches, which includes all seven emirates.

In addition to banking and financial services there are a large number of other employment opportunities within an organisation of Mashreqbank's size for graduates and Non-graduates in the Retail & Commercial Banking Sectors. These range from Human Resources and Administration to Marketing, IT, and Accounts.

"Most people think of working in a bank as being a teller, because that is what the public sees see. However there are many other roles behind the scenes. Whatever skill sets and aptitudes a person has, with the right training and guidance there is almost certainly a suitable position for them in Mashreqbank," said Al Hamed.
