Al Muntafiq, who was recently appointed Chairman of Young Arab Leaders, stressed the importance of investing in the development of human capital and leadership particularly among the local youth.
HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai visited Tatweer's stand at Careers Fair, after the opening ceremony and was briefed about Tatweer's emiratisation strategy.
In line with its role as a managing company under Dubai Holding, Tatweer's presence at the fair is devoted to the young nationals who are looking for job opportunities, especially in the fields of management and business development.
Saeed Al Muntafiq, CEO of Tatweer noted that the strong interest in Tatweer generated among the national youth seeking job opportunities, reflects the growing trust in Tatweer for its support of emiratisation and belief in the capabilities of young and talented UAE nationals.
Tatweer's current portfolio is divided into Energy & Healthcare, Tourism & Entertainment, Industry & Knowledge and includes Dubailand, Dubai Industrial City, Global Village, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai Energy, Dubai Mercantile Exchange, and Moutamarat.
"Tatweer is totally committed to building the future of Dubai, where the national work force will be the main driver for economic growth,"
said Al Muntafiq. He added: "Emiratisation in this sense is a major strategy in Tatweer".
Careers UAE Exhibition held in coordination with TANMIA, Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University and UAE University,
is considered a major platform for educational and training institutions as well as for employers in both the private and public sectors to discuss ways of matching education and training to the actual needs of the labour market and to source talent.
Last year's event received an overwhelming attendance of 13,000 visitors in three days, a figure which is expected to increase substantially this year.
