AGMC is celebrating 30 successful years as the exclusive importer of BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce cars in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates.
Since it was established in 1976 in Sharjah, AGMC has experienced unprecedented growth. In its first year, the company sold 50 BMW cars. In 2005 sales rocketed to nearly 3000, a 20% increase on the 2,350 cars sold in 2004.

This sales drive has continued to accelerate in the first quarter of 2006. Between January 1 and March 31, AGMC retailed 740 new cars to customers, an increase of 28% on the same period in 2005.

"I have witnessed first-hand just how successful AGMC has been since its inauguration,´ said Stathis I Stathis, General Manager, AGMC, who joined the company as Aftersales Manager in 1976.

"This success has been built on a foundation of constantly expanding and upgrading our showrooms, service centres, sales and after-sales facilities."

In addition to celebrating 30 years as one of the UAE's leading car dealerships, AGMC is also marking the 10th anniversary of the opening of its iconic headquarters showroom on Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road.

Most recently AGMC opened a Dhs 50 million showroom and service centre in Sharjah, and a state-of-the-art, multi-million dirhams stand alone body and paint centre in Al Quoz.

Later this year work will begin expanding the existing premises on the Sheikh Zayed Road.

"We are investing in new facilities and new ideas in customer care to ensure our customers enjoy a premium experience which matches the premium brands we offer, as well as further enhancing our position in the luxury car segment," said Stathis. "We fully expect to achieve yet another record sales year in 2006."

AGMC was the first BMW Group Middle East importer to achieve Quality Management Assurance (QMA) certification and the second world-wide in 2002. AGMC is the only regional BMW importer to use QMA Classic, which is more advanced than the QMA Standard used elsewhere in the region.

One of its most innovative customer-first services is its 'Voice' centre. Set up in 2003, it is run by a qualified team of agents who ensure high standards in customer contacts. The programme has helped AGMC to improve sales and after-sales service levels.

In addition, AGMC has introduced a roadside assistance service that operates around the clock and provides support and vehicle recovery services and the Capacity Planning System (CPS) that enables customers to get a service appointment quickly and receive their car back at the scheduled time.

AGMC has also brought 'Drive-Thru' to the car service world with its 'Fast Lane Service' option. Customers who require small jobs such as oil and brake changes, no longer need an appointment; the work is completed immediately.

And, as well as its three state-of-the-art showrooms, including a modern facility in Ras Al Khaimah, AGMC operates the region's only BMW and MINI lifestyle boutique in Dubai's Mercato shopping mall.

AGMC is passionately committed to the community it serves. Its various and imaginative community activities in the region are proof of its dedication to its customers and its belief in the value and potential the region holds. Along with BMW Group Middle East AGMC has been a sponsor of the Sheikh Zayed International Environment Prize for three years, reaffirming their dedication to the BMW CleanEnergy drive. AGMC is also one of the sponsors of The Investor, MBC's reality show which seeks to identify the business leaders of tomorrow.

AGMC takes corporate social responsibility very seriously. A long standing relationship with Dubai Police, to whom it has provided a fleet of BMW 5 Series vehicles, in conjunction with the innovative BMW Driver Assist service, aims to increase the safety of Dubai's roads.

"BMW Group brands promise sheer driving pleasure in the ultimate driving machine. We aim to deliver on that promise offering our customers the ultimate ownership experience from the minute they step into the showroom. This is the secret of our success" said Stathis.
