War on counterfeit goods

Dubai Customs has teamed with federal ministries and government bodies to put in place an action plan to combat the growing threat of counterfeit goods. From June to December 2005, customs agents seized counterfeit goods worth more than $2.45m Mobile phones and accessories, CDs, electronic goods and tobacco products constituted the bulk of goods seized.
