Developing local talent for international exposure

In its continuous commitment to developing local talent and its endeavor to support the tourism industry and develop the youth, Marriott Hotels in Jordan provide cross training for its employees in almost all departments.

Marriott Hotels are dedicated to continuously encourage and assist young Jordanians looking for a career in the hotel industry. The Amman Marriott Hotel has done a total of 3056 hours of education & training in 2006 year to date. They have also had a total of 28 promotions and 6 associates did cross training in the last quarter. The Jordan Valley Marriott Resort & Spa had a total of 45 promotions, a total of 3116 hours of training and 4 associates did crossed training in the 2006 year to date.

"We have had Kitchen employees move to sales and front office move to services, as well as employees getting cross trained across the board for all round training, said Dawood Ibrahim, Director of Human Resources for the Amman Marriott Hotel. Lama Masri, Director of Human Resources for the Jordan Valley Marriott Resort & Spa added,

"We are extremely proud to be aggressive with our training programs. This only endorses our commitment to producing superior hoteliers."


Marriott International manages three properties in Jordan, the Amman Marriott Hotel, the Petra Marriott Hotel and the Jordan Valley Marriott Resort & Spa.
