Al Ezzel plant in operation

The Al Ezzel power plant began commercial operations on schedule yesterday, reported the Bahrain Tribune. The Al Ezzel Power Company is a consortium between Suez Energy International and the Gulf Investment Corporation, who both own 45% of the company, and the Pension Fund Commission which owns 10%. The $500m combined cycle power plant will provide electricity to the Ministry of Electricity and Water under a 20 year agreement.
