DM organizes training in electronic archiving

The course is being conducted as part of the ongoing internal training programme if the civic body for the year 2006.

Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zarouni, Acting Head of Human Resources Development Section in the Personnel Department said the electronic archiving training course would be organized from 1 to 2 May and would be attended by a group of administrative support officials from different departments of the municipality.

He said the course is aimed at briefing the participants with the different aspects of the electronic archiving system and its programmes and it will teach them how to save documents electronically. It will also familiarize them with the importance of having electronic archiving system applications in the Internet age and also the e-government applications.

Al Zarouni said the second training course of the week called, "Who are we?" would be organized on 30 April and would be attended by a group employees from different sections and units of the municipality.

He said the course is aimed at teaching the new employees their duties and the services provided to the internal as well as external customers. It is also intended to enhance their interaction with senior employees and acquaint them with the vision, mission and values of the Municipality.

Al Zarouni said there will be a third course this week called "Quality Workshop," which will be conducted from 2 to 3 May and would be attended by a group of fresh graduate employees from different sections and units of the municipality.

He said the course is aimed at familiarizing the participants with the concept and applications of total quality in order to prepare them to acquire the skills in formulating strategies for serving the customers.
