Eighteen British travel and tourism partners, including those making their first appearance at the show, are joining forces with VisitBritain and some national tourist boards, including Visit Scotland, Visit London and Blackpool Tourism, at this major travel event to promote Britain to the Middle East in preparation for the summer 2006's holiday season and beyond. This is going to be supported by million of pounds worth of special travel and accommodation offers that make a holiday in Britain better value than ever before.

VisitBritain's Regional Marketing Manager, Carol Maddison, said:

"VisitBritain is delighted to team up once again with some of the top British travel and tourism partners and to be part of what is a formidable mix of British travel products for this year Arabian Travel Market."

This year we have a large number of top British delegates spanning a wide range of travel and tourism products and services including family accommodation, tourist attractions, airlines, hoteliers, health and lifestyle resorts, shopping, and many more throughout Britain. The range of British products and packages on offer at the Britain Stand number 9705 will continue to cover the popular destinations such as London, Heart of England, England's North Country and Scotland.

The Arabian travel market will always represent a major travel trade platform for us to reinforce our commitment to Middle East as one of priority markets to VisitBritain and Britain tourism. The exhibition provides our UK industry partners with an excellent opportunity to network with key members of the Middle East travel trade and media community in the run up to summer 2006.

VisitBritain is also using the event to launch some new segment driven campaigns and marketing initiatives including health and spa, family fun, shopping, food and drink and Muslim cultures.

In addition, the Britain stand will also feature a range of activities such as the launch of 2006 travel literatures, in both Arabic and English, live demonstration of Virgin Atlantic's new business class seats, spa products, a competition with a prize of a dream holiday for two to the UK and live Scottish pipe music throughout the 4-day event.
