This partnership will provide a platform to DSS/DSF to have a direct dialogue with the media as well as the visitors at the exhibition and announce some of the special events and attractions of the forthcoming DSS and DSF. The initiative is a relationship-building measure between local, regional and international media and the two main annual events office. It will spread the word about the real focus and the role of the DSS and DSF.
The DSS Office will be announcing their Spas That Make You Smile All Summer spa packages at a press conference organized in Room A on Wednesday and one of the DSF mega events, on Thursday in Room B during the ATM. Also there is a special business card raffle draw for the international media offering them a trip to Dubai during DSF and gift hampers for DSS 2006.
Commenting on the sponsorship of the ATM Media Centre, Laila Suhail, DSS Executive Project Director and DSF Chief Marketing and Communications Officer said,
"By sponsoring the Media Center at ATM 2006 we not only want to express our gratitude to the local, regional and international media but also want to provide them a quality information center thus we look at promoting the DSS and DSF across a larger cross-section of people around the world. This is to reiterate the fact that DSS is a top-class event that appeals to all sections of society and has a lot in store for people from various backgrounds and nationalities. It's an attempt to drive home the point that DSS has a wide universal appeal like the DSF."
Added Laila, "We are promoting the emirate of Dubai as a world-class destination and adding to its glory is the DSS. A top-notch event DSS has grown vertically on the growth charts in the past and we want to maintain the trend."
"The ATM Media Center includes a hospitality area, two press conference rooms, interview rooms and a business center fully equipped for journalists to file their stories worldwide. Our participation at ATM is an ideal way for the DSS to reach out to the world at large and attract visitors from different parts of the globe. It surely gains positive promotion of the events as well as reiterates the position of Dubai on the world tourism map," she said.
