The new plant specializes in manufacturing high carbon wires used in construction, furniture and stainless steel products like watch needles, pins, clips and rods. A group of Indian businessmen and industrialists from different lines of work joined forces and formed the new plant with a total investment of Dh 15 millions.

Oussama El Omari, the Director General/ CEO of the RAK FTZA stated that the new pioneer plant is one of very few of its kind in the UAE and has the capacity to produce 1,000 tones of carbon wires monthly.

El Omari explained that the new plant was constructed on 3,000 square meters and has been given all the facilities to achieve its maximum capabilities. He also confirmed that the partners would be diversifying into other products in eight to ten months.

Vishal Chhabria, one of the partners of the new plant affirmed:
"I am mostly impressed with the professionalism and customer friendly approach of the Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone".

"Hundreds of Indian companies have already registered with the zone and hundreds others will be registering in order to start their new bases in Ras Al Khaimah" he added.

Chhabria said the partners were impressed with the facilities offered by the RAK FTZA and that establishment of the Kriss Wires Products factory was only made possible since they had registered with the free zone. "The zone truly offers an ideal investment environment for all types of business and activities" he added. He affirmed that the production of the new plant will doubled in the coming six months along with an increase in the variety of products in order to meet the needs of the local markets and to export the plant's products to the Middle East, European, and American markets.
