The DCCI participates in this event to highlight the Chamber's leading role and the package of services it delivers to the business community in Dubai, as well as locally, regionally and internationally promoting the registered members and the business groups, which operate under the umbrella of the DCCI including the Travel and Tourism Agencies Business Group, that was founded on 18th February 2003, through briefing them to one of the most prominent and growing sectors due to the pivotal role this sector plays in developing the national economy.
Abdurrahman Al-Mutaiwee, DCCI Director General said:
"Due to the enormous significance the travel and tourism sector enjoys, which constitutes one of the most important revenue sources that contribute to the national economy growth, the DCCI is committed to take part in this event to highlight the facilities it delivers to investors and businesspersons, as well as promote Dubai as an economic destination and an international trade center playing a key role to colligate the world with the most promising markets that sizably grow in all economic and trade sectors in the Middle East, Indian-subcontinent and Africa."
The ATM that Dubai hosts on an annual basis with the participation of the biggest travel and tourism organizations regionally and internationally became an international specialized forum.
It is worth noting that the Middle East spending on travel and tourism is in excess of $12 billion annually in this sector, as the travel and tourism enthusiasts from this part of the world hit the tourist spots all over the globe, especially in summer.
