Dubai School of Government awarded at 'Big Breakfast' award ceremony

Having participated in the 'Big Breakfast' initiative organized by a team of young leaders from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development to raise funds to help Thalassaemia patients and their families, the Dubai School of Government received an award for raising the largest amount of money in the university category.

Commenting on the award, Dr Yasar Jarrar, Executive Dean of the Dubai School of Government stated: 'We are delighted at the amount of money that we managed to raise for such a worthy cause and we hope that through this campaign we have managed to raise awareness of Thalassaemia and how to help reduce its spread in the future'.

The Awards ceremony took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel and the awards were presented by HH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority, to honour the initiative's sponsors, donors and participants.

Participants were distributed into 11 categories including children and mothers, schools, universities, clubs and associations, media, hospitality, private sector, corporate, semi government and government sectors, in addition to the category of the biggest number of participants, most creative set up and best awareness campaign.

The Dubai School of Government had organized a "Big Breakfast" on April 17th , in the presence of DSG staff and members of the Dubai government leaders programme who were attending an organizational excellence programme delivered by the Lee Kuan Yew School of public policy.
