Now the renowned International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) have announced that they have joined the Light Middle East Advisory Board, affirming the positive response the show continues to receive from the industry.

The Advisory Board consists of major manufacturers and other key figures in the field of architectural lighting - namely Philips, Osram, Massive, Sill Lighting UK, Professional Lighting Design and now IALD. These groups act as a measurement to ensure that Light Middle East continually addresses the needs of the buying groups through the choice and solutions provided by the exhibiting companies.

With the level of support from these established companies and associations, Light Middle East delivers the perfect platform for exhibitors and visitors alike to share their knowledge and expertise. There is, and will continue to be, increased demand for lighting design within the Middle East, as new developments come online. Expenditure on construction, which includes hotels, shopping malls, housing, office developments, parks, ports and airports has just exceeded a staggering $1 trillion, according to the April MEED Projects Report. With all this development, innovative lighting technologies and solutions are receiving ever-greater recognition.

The IALD was founded in 1969, in Chicago, USA and is a global organization dedicated to the interests and concerns of independent, professional lighting designers. The main
aim of the IALD is to promote the excellent standard of lighting designers across the globe. There are over 700 international members within the IALD, all of which are infamous for their innovative, exciting, practical, environmentally friendly economical lighting solutions.

Silke Zachrau exhibition organiser of the show said,

"Light Middle East is honoured to have received this level of support from such a well respected association. The show, which re-launches in May, is expected to be a phenomenal success. The Lighting Design Conference, which Messe Frankfurt are very proud to announce is being chaired by Rashid Taqui, architect, publisher and CEO of Architecture + magazine; has an astounding lineup with names like Jonathan Speirs and the quality of exhibitors of an extremely high caliber. This is the beginning of truly successful annual event."
