The announcement was made by Manfred P. Simons, Vice President Operations and Development of Millennium Hotels MENA at a press conference held during the Arabian Travel Market 2006 in Dubai.
"This is the first is a series of announcements related to our aggressive expansion plan in the region. We see huge potential in the hospitality and tourism industry moving forward and believe that our brand offers a wide range of services for tourists and business travelers."
The 100 room, 3 star Kingsgate Abu Dhabi, the first of its kind in the Middle East, will be located in the Tourist Club Area between Al Salam Street and the Abu Dhabi Mall, while the Millennium Executive Apartments, also in Abu Dhabi and made up of 200 serviced apartments and one restaurant will be located at Electra and Sheikh Zayed 1st Street.
Millennium Hotels is a dynamic, global hotel company, which owns asset manages and/or operates over 90 hotels in over 15 countries around the world.
