BJ Services promotes Gary Young to area manager - Middle East for BJ Tubular Services

BJ Services Company today announced that Gary Young has been promoted to area manager - Middle East for BJ Tubular Services in Dubai.
With more than 16 years of international experience in the oil industry, Young brings a comprehensive knowledge of casing and running services. Prior to his promotion, he served two years as Brazil country manager, with a further two years as area operations manager - Latin America at the division's regional base in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Young launched his career in the oil industry in 1990 when he joined BJ Tubular Services as an electronic technician in Aberdeen, Scotland, and was promoted to torque turn supervisor in 1993. In 1996 he became operations supervisor responsible for managing BJ Tubular Services' operations in the UKCS, before being appointed technical sales representative one year later. Then, as the division's activities expanded into West Africa, Young was promoted to operations supervisor for Equatorial Guinea in 2000 where he worked for two years.
Originally from Aberdeen, Young is based at the division's region headquarters in Dubai, U.A.E. He reports to Kenny Watt, division manager of BJ Tubular Services, who is based at the division's international headquarters in Aberdeen.
BJ Tubular Services specialises in personnel and equipment for running casing and tubing, particularly premium connections, high chrome content tubulars, dual, triple and sub-sea completions, as well as hammer conductor-driving services. The division is known throughout the world for its innovative technology. With its headquarters in Aberdeen, Scotland, BJ Tubular Services operates bases in the United States, South America, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe and Africa.
