S.S. Lootah invests AED5.5 billion in clean energy projects

S.S. Lootah Groups' current and future investments in several projects in the clean and renewable energy sector in the UAE has reached AED5.5 billion, announced Vice Chairman of the group, Eng. Yahya Bin Saeed Al Lootah.
"We have achieved great successes in managing large scale energy infrastructure projects in the natural gas sector in the UAE and abroad over the past 10 years. However, today we face the challenge of achieving even greater economic and environmental benefits to our community through the use of advanced energy technologies across all business sectors," said Eng. Yahya Lootah.
"All tallied, our current and further investments in clean energy infrastructure and projects, over the coming 5 years, will reach 5.5 billion in the UAE alone," he added.
The first edition of the Advanced Energy Technologies Conference was held in Dubai in September last year and witnessed the launch of the International Energy Group ( IEG), an international alliance of independent international businesses committed to promote and accelerate the adoption of clean energy methods to supplement conventional energy sources worldwide.
Eng. Yahya Lootah serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of IEG which serves the unique and critical role of introducing commercially viable advanced energy technologies and applications for many industrial, business and government sectors.
"We have succeeded in making clean energy options a key component in project development across all our businesses from real estate development to construction and transportation," said Eng. Yahya Lootah.
"Today we are well positioned to serve the national and regional sustainable development drive through consultancy, project development and management and most importantly through our conference platform where we enable sharing ideas and best practices with experts, government officials and members of civil society from around the world," he concluded.
