"When today's busy consumers need customer service, they want several options for getting a fast, reliable response. Furthermore, in today's world, the dependency on the internet is huge because of the popularity of e-commerce transactions and the 'need to know now' mentality of consumers. To satisfy and fulfill these expectancies of consumers it is imperative for companies to have a dedicated customer contact centre",
said Mr. Masaru Tamagawa, managing director, Sony Gulf FZE.
The Customer Contact Centre, manned by nine professionals, will be equipped to address queries on Sony's product features, promotions, after sale service and support activities and service centre details. With the customer contact centre, consumers will now have access to information such as product availability at the nearest possible showroom or service centre details of the nearest authorized Sony service centre.
"Customer loyalty to the brand is defined by the positive experiences received during pre-purchase, the actual purchase and post purchase of any product and today it is becoming increasingly important to simplify and enrich these experiences of the end consumer. The customer contact centre will allow us to improve and enhance customer service and ensure that all our points of customer interaction proactively help us to stay ahead of competition", he added
The various customer contact points such as queries received through the Sony Gulf website and the existing help desks for Sony VIAO notebooks will now be integrated into the central UAE call centre at Jebel Ali. The UAE customer contact centre in future will be expanded to handle queries from the GCC and there are plans to replicate this programme in Iran.
