More than 48 country pavilions and 1025 exhibitors at Rebuild Iraq 2006 in Abdali next week

With a record 1025 exhibitors representing 48 countries, Rebuild Iraq 2006 which spreads over an area of 60,000 sqm. is expected to be an exceptional success at all levels.

The support we received for holding this fair has been impressive and diverse, ranging from the 25 member EU states to Arab support, indicating the need in Jordan to hold Rebuild Iraq 2006, especially since it is opportunely situated as the strategic gateway to Iraq. The countdown to the first day has begun and we stand ready to begin this major event for the reconstruction of Iraq."

"Exhibitors from Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bahrain, Canada, China, Cyprus, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Kuwait, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Morocco, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Taiwan, Thailand, The Netherlands, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, UK, Ukraine, USA, and Yugoslavia, have filled up the entire 26000 sqm. indoor space and 5000 sqm. outdoor space at the purpose - built International Exhibition Center at Abdali," said IFP Group's Project Director Fadi Kaddoura.

Several hundred professional Iraqi visitors from both private and public sectors have been invited under the Hosted Iraqi Buyers Program to attend the show from the various regions in Iraq. They include top Iraqi government officials and senior ministry staff, as well as top executives of renowned Iraqi trading, contracting, industrial, and investment companies, banks, and business associations, added Kaddoura who expects to welcome more than 15,000 trade visitors at the show.

More than 800 delegates are expected to attend the 3rd Rebuild Iraq Conference that will be concurrently held with the trade fair on May 9th and 10th at the Intercontinental Hotel in Amman. Organized in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (AmCham), the Conference will feature a number of top Iraqi Ministers and government officials as well as Jordanian, Arab, and international keynote speakers and experts on the Iraqi issue.

In addition, the Conference will tackle major issues of relevance to companies doing business in Iraq such as security, finance or contracting and will address business potential in specific sectors like health, infrastructure development, trade and investment.

IFP group announced its first investment in the Hashemite Jordanian Kingdom as IFP Near East was just founded. This new company is a member of IFP Group and it already started handling all local promotions and logistics, media campaigns, visitor invitations, and coordination with Iraqi NGO's and other organizations to identify and invite Iraqi officials and top Iraqi professionals and trade buyers to the third international exhibition.
